Salsa Beginners

2 distinct courses, each focusing on key aspects.

At this level you will go through the elements and fundamentals of salsa. For the student who has little or no experience in salsa. We start from the beginning with the basic steps and timing of salsa "On1" and continue with basic moves and turns. The goal is to be able to dance to slow and normal salsa music and keep the timing while dancing. You will learn the rhythm of salsa and be able to keep the timing while dancing.

Salsa Improvers

3 distinct courses, each focusing on key aspects.

For the student who knows and is comfortable with ALL the basic steps and turns of beginners and who can find and keep the timing while dancing. We continue with longer turn patterns and learn how to lead/follow. We introduce more footwork   and preparation for double spins. At this level is where we lay the foundations of the fundamentals and techniques of "On1" salsa. This class prepares the student for the more complex turn patterns and shines of the Intermediate class.

Salsa Intermediate

4 distinct courses, each focusing on key aspects.

For the student who has no problem dancing salsa and is interested in learning more challenging turn patterns, double spins, dips and shines. The student should be comfortable with the salsa rhythm & timing and understand expressions like “cross body lead”, “open break”, "copa", "360" and execute them. In this course we use all the key aspects of the Improver level.
